Carnevale di Venezia

Today’s Mardi Gras, and seriously wtf is Mardi Gras for… beads????? gross So excuse me if I don’t really know what this day is about and had to wikipedia it. Anyways I was scrolling through the different countries that celebrated Mardi Gras, and couldn’t help but notice how much cooler Venice’s Mardi Gras is than New Orleans. It’s called the Carnevale di Venezia (or if you want English, Carnival of Venice, gosh you’re really picky) and it spans over two weeks, ending on Mardi Gras. But in all seriousness, the Carnevale di Venezia is got to be the most beautiful/creepy festival out there. I will admit that expressionless masks are a bit scary, but even if there was a army of Carnival mask wearing Venetians out to kill people, I’d still be inexorably attracted to their prettiness and probably die a horrible bloody masky death getting a better look.

I went to the Mardi Gras in Dallas this weekend. It was pretty lame.

    And… I’ve been credited! W00t.
